Ways To Help Haiti

I've searched the internet for different ways that you can help Haiti. From adding an avatar as a profile pic, donating money, or raising money... There are all kinds of ways to help Haiti.

*Note* I want to let you know that you have to be careful. Beware of any scams: foxnews.com. I tried to find only the trusted organizations on the internet for donating money. Below is a list of the many ways to help:

I'm sure that there's more ways to help... Leave a comment if you know of any.

For each comment that is left on this blog post, I'll donate a $1 to help Haiti
: compassion.com. *Note* You don't have to have a google account to leave a comment.

*Thanks so much* =)

God bless!

That's awesome, Grace! Another trustworthy place to donate in Haiti is that orphanage run by the old band members from Audio Adrenaline. I actually met them on tour last month. you can donate and get the newsletter here www.handsandfeetproject.org

This is such a great idea! Please be praying, too, for those children in orphanages waiting to leave Haiti and join their adoptive parents in the United States. Red tape has been keeping them from leaving.

Thanks for your support! I have an eleven year old friend close to the epicenter in Haiti. Haven't heard anything from her yet, but it makes me so glad to hear of other people contributing to helping Haiti, because I'll never know which contribution ends up helping her, so I assume every contribution is.

Thanks for giving another $1 for me, Grace! I already gave all I could to Samaritan's Purse and Compassion. They are both great organizations, and Samaritan's Purse has been flying planes in all week with water filtration systems and temporary shelters. Great information! Have you come across any info on volunteering once the country is more stable? I'd like to go help at an orphanage. Thanks!

As a referent from Shaun Groves, let me just say that it makes my heart happy to find so many folks, believers or no, encouraging people to give to organizations that will get the money on the ground the fastest and will do the most good. Thanks for helping us be God's hands and feet in mending the world.

Forgot to post that I've become involved with Danita's Children (www.danitaschildren.org). Danita currently has 76 orphans and will be going to Port-au-Prince tomorrow to rescue more. She may end up with 300 and will need funding and child sponsors. I've spent time at her orphanage and she has stayed at my home. I cannot say enough good things about her and her work.

You can also donate to Makarios International. They are located in the Dominican Republic, but they are taking donations and making supply runs to a border hospital in the DR serving Haitians. They are also taking a small medical team to help that hospital more tomorrow. So far they have taken 3 truckloads of supplies. Check out their blog. I know the missionaries down there personally as well as the exec director. I can vouch for their ministry.
